Race History

The Tom Lottes 65 in 24 Alzheimer’s Awareness run is when a few crazy people get together to run laps around the Wisconsin State Capitol until they reach 65 miles, hopefully in less than 24 hours. This distance usually ends up being roughly 120 laps, starting at 12 AM of December 30th and ending at 12 AM of December 31st. This provides more than enough time for any runner to complete the 65 miles, or any distance they feel comfortable accomplishing, in 24 hours. You are also welcomed to run/walk as a team to add up your total miles to 65 or even ride your bike around the square the day of the race. Any form of physical activity at any distance is good for the mind and body, so we hope to see you out on the square this December 30th.
